Octomore 13.2 is a distinct expression of maturation, aged entirely in first fill Oloroso sherry butts from Fernando de Castilla, Spain. This five-year-old spirit, distilled from 100% Scottish Mainland barley and malted to 137.3PPM, offers a unique contrast to its 13.1 counterpart. The exclusive use of Oloroso sherry butts from Jerez adds layers of nut, orange, and dried fruit notes, beautifully complementing the smoke and vibrancy of the single malt. Crafted with the same batch of super-heavily peated barley as the 13.1, Octomore 13.2 showcases the remarkable impact of different cask types. Matured in the dunnage warehouses of Port Charlotte, this whisky reflects the salty tang of Islay, influenced by the sherry casks' rich heritage and the meticulous craft of the Bruichladdich Distillery.
