Tone: Grain-to-Glass Purist / Farm-to-Barrel Storyteller
This second edition Grain to Glass is a transparent look at provenance and process: locally grown Beck’s 6225 corn and Kentucky wheat from family farms, distilled in 2018, matured a little over six years across Cox’s Creek rickhouses W5 and W6 (floors 3–5), and bottled at the natural barrel proof of 106.6 unblunted, un-chill-filtered, and proudly labeled with the exact mash bill and grain details. It’s Heaven Hill’s wheated voice, told from field to bottle.
Tasting Notes
- Nose
- Vanilla cream and caramel glide over warm grain, with soft orchard fruit and florals from the wheat’s influence.
-
Palate
Honeyed sweetness meets baking spice and toasted oak; wheat lends a plush mid-palate while malted barley adds lift. Proof carries presence without harshness. -
Finish
Long, gently drying oak with lingering vanilla, toffee, and a light pepper-ginger echo.
Serving Suggestions
- Neat Give it a few minutes in the glass to let grain and oak knit together.
- With a Large Ice Cube Softens the oak and teases out fruit and vanilla.
-
Signature Cocktail “Wheated Heritage Old Fashioned”
- 2 oz Heaven Hill Grain to Glass 2025
- ½ tsp demerara syrup
