Product Description:

Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon  Chinquapin Oak Edition (2025 Release)

Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon • Aged ~7 Years • Bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV) • Matured fully in rare Chinquapin oak barrels from Missouri-grown white oak • Mash bill: 52% corn, 35% wheat, 13% malted barley • Corn seed varietal: Beck’s 6225.

This edition of Grain to Glass is a revelation for wheated bourbon lovers. Rather than merely finishing in unique wood, Heaven Hill matured the entire batch in hand-selected Chinquapin oak  a distinct American white oak species known for elevated vanillin and rich oak character. From seed to glass: the Beck’s 6225 corn grown locally, the wheat in the mash, the six to seven years of aging, and the bold proof all align in a whiskey that stands apart.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose
Freshly-treated grain sweetness opens with caramel and crème brûlée aromas, lightly toasted nuts and a whisper of cracked black pepper.
  • Palate
Silky-soft wheat texture gives way to rich butterscotch, toasted hazelnut, deep oak spice, and subtle baking cinnamon  the Chinquapin oak adding layers without overwhelming.
  • Finish
Long, balanced and refreshing: lingering oak char, warm spice, a final thread of vanilla bean and dry wheat bread crust.
