Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Double-Barreled Finish • 93 Proof (46.5 % ABV) • Part of the Whiskey Row Series

Old Forester 1910 resurrects a pivotal moment in bourbon lore. In 1910 a fire at the Old Forester bottling line left mature whiskey waiting to be bottled, so it was placed back into barrels for extra aging. Inspired by that history, this expression is double-barreled, re-entered into new charred oak at a modest 100 proof to coax additional wood sugars without overpowering. The result is a whiskey that layers sweet richness and oak character with heritage and balance.

 Tasting Notes

  • Nose
  • Interlaced aromas of buttercream, sticky toffee, cedar, and apricot welcome the pour with both richness and restraint.
  • Palate
A thick, luscious mouthfeel delivers burnt caramel and vanilla, with sweet marshmallow, dark berries, and charred oak layering beneath.
  • Finish
Oak dominates in the fade charred oak, a touch of dry leather, and lingering spice persist long after the sweetness recedes.

 Serving Suggestions

  •  Neat Best to experience the interplay of double barreling and oak depth.
  • With a Few Drops of Water Gently softens the char and reveals hidden fruit and spice layers.
  • Signature Cocktail  “Old Fine Fashioned”
    • 2 oz Old Forester 1910
    • ½ tsp demerara syrup
    • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Stir with ice, strain over a large cube, garnish with a flamed orange twist and a cherry for a refined, oak-forward take on a classic.

Why It Matters

1910 is more than a bourbon it’s storytelling in liquid form. As the fourth and final release in Old Forester’s Whiskey Row Series, it honors the brand’s legacy while exploring the art of secondary barreling. Subtle proof, double oak maturation, and a nod to history make it approachable yet deeply characterful.
