Crafted from Scottish-grown Concerto barley and malted to an astonishing 128.9 PPM, this expression rises from that smoke-laden base into nuanced territory aged in a masterful combination of Oloroso sherry (40%), first-fill Amarone (16%), and second-fill Amarone casks (44%), all nestled in French oak. The result is a bold, balanced, and peerless rendition of peated whisky. 

Tasting Notes

  • Color: Deep amber, echoing both peat smoke and rich wine casks.  
  • Nose: Intoxicating waves of leather, prunes, red currant, and malted barley, wrapped in toasted oak. Subtle spices cinnamon, green apple, and black pepper drift through hints of dry, brooding smoke, burnt heather, and pipe tobacco.   
  • Palate: The peat remains powerful yet controlled. It converges with lush red fruits, vanilla, charred oak, and a savory interplay of sea-spray, cinnamon sugar, strawberry cream, and nougat. Rich caramel and toffee notes are supported by gentle cereal maltiness.    
  • Finish: Long and resonant wine sweetness and oak tannins fade gracefully, leaving the peat’s smoky echo, red berries, spice, and smoky clarity lingering in the air.
