Meet Octomore 16.1 the “Reference” in the 16th series, where peat and purity coexist. Crafted from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley malted at 101.4 PPM and matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks, it isn’t tempered by finishing casks or additives. This expression is designed to be the foundation against which 16.2 and 16.3 are measured.
Tasting Notes

- Sea spray and orchard fruit drift through soft campfire smoke, with hints of heather, vanilla bean, roasted almonds, and cedarwood.

The peat is intense yet elegant, delivering salted caramel, honey-dew melon, apricot, malt sweetness, toffee, dark chocolate, and coconut all riding a bed of mineral smoke and coastal brine. -
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering smoke, black pepper, sea salt, chocolate notes, and a faint echo of orange zest.
