In 1870, George Garvin Brown began sealing bourbon in glass to guarantee consistency and quality today’s 1870 expression echoes that ethos. It is crafted by selecting barrels from three different warehouses, each with varying entry proofs and maturation profiles, then batched together and lightly filtered to maintain character. 

Tasting Notes

•  Nose
• Bright citrus (orange, grapefruit, blood orange), sweet floral honeysuckle, and warm clove spice lead the way.  
• Palate
  Baking spices like nutmeg and cinnamon blend with caramel, shortbread sweetness, dark cherry and dried fruit.  
• Finish
  Soft and warming. The sweetness trails into spice and gentle oak, with lingering fruit and baking notes.
