This isn’t business as usual it’s two centuries of craftsmanship colliding. The Camarena family’s storied highland tequila house, El Tesoro, has teamed up with Japan’s distinguished Yamazaki distillery under the banner of the Mundial Collection. The result: an añejo tequila aged for twelve months in casks that once held Yamazaki whisky infusing elegant whisky-style depth into classic agave character. 

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Aromas of warm cooked agave, toasted almonds, dry figs and dates, subtle florals, and a refined hint of Japanese oak.  
• Palate: Rich and balanced mineral agave base, raw honey, toasted pecans, dark chocolate, red berry undertones lifted by sherry-cask spice.  
• Finish: Long and poised seasoned oak tannins, warm clove and pepper spice, lingering sweet fruit echo and tobacco nuance.  

Serving Suggestions

• Neat  Sip slowly to savor the agave purity and whisky-oak interplay.
• Large Ice Cube.  A single crystal cube softens the finish and rounds out woody edges.
• Signature Cocktail – “Mundial Knot”
  
• 2 oz El Tesoro Mundial Yamazaki
• ½ tsp agave syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• Stir with ice, strain into a rocks glass over one large cube, garnish with an expression of orange peel and a dried fig.
