Distillers Description:
The fourth batch in Kilkerran's Heavily Peated series! Superb Campbeltown single malt, which boasts a hefty helping of peaty smoke at its heart. For this edition, the distillery has used whisky drawn from 80% ex-bourbon casks, as well as 20% ex-sherry casks. If peaty whisky is your tipple of choice, you definitely can't go wrong with snapping up a bottle of this.
Nose: Scorched malt, heather honey, bonfire smoke with accompanying toasted marshmallow.
Palate: Sea spray salinity runs all the way through it, joined by waves of brown sugar, caraway, and oak.
Finish: Lots of dry smoke notes stick around on the finish.
