 Ampersand Vinea is a bold and imaginative hybrid spirit where the peppery backbone of Kentucky rye whiskey meets the delicate fruit and oak influence of grain spirit matured in cognac barrels. Both components rest in barrel for 8+ years, including cognac cask finishing, creating a layered conversation between grain, grape, oak, and spice. The result? A “fruit bomb” in the glass grape meets grain in a dance of complexity.

  • Warm rye spice, toasted oak, and dark fruit black cherry, raisin, grape must. A lifted note of cognac barrel influence joins floral honey and light vanilla.
  • Palate
    Bold spice up front clove, cracked pepper, rye kernel progressing into fig, dark grape, candied citrus peel, oak, and fine French oak tannins. The grain spirit brings softness and fruit complexity.
  • Finish
    Medium to long: rye bite trails into dried fruit, oak spice, and a subtle whisper of grape brandy warmth.
