Case Study: 06 is a bold exploration of bourbon’s lineage. Frank August looked beyond a single source, selecting two barrels each from three distinguished Kentucky distilleries, then blending them to create a whiskey that converses with the past while speaking for the future. The ages 8, 9 and 10 years bring maturity; the blend brings balance. 

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Rich amber with deep copper undertones; slow legs reveal maturity and depth.  
• Nose: Vanilla bean, honeycomb, caramelised pear layered over seasoned oak, light baking spice and candied fruit.  
• Palate: Waves of butterscotch and dark toffee, roasted pecan, subtle orange zest, balanced structure yet expressive and composed.  
• Finish: Long and deliberate—echoes of toasted sugar, charred oak, dried cherry, silky mouth-feel culminating in a quietly powerful fade.
