Tasting Notes 

• Nose
  Clove, sweet vanilla, anise and pepper leap forward, backed by citrus peel and subtle oak warmth.  
• Palate
  Candied spice meets rye heat cinnamon bark, toasted grain, citrus zest, and licorice braid together with firm structure.  
• Finish
  Long and crisp. Licorice and pepper linger, followed by warming oak and a dry fruit echo.  

Serving Suggestions

• Neat   Give it a minute to open, then sip slowly and let the spice evolve.
• With a Large Ice Cube  Slightly chill and soften while still preserving the bold backbone.

• 2 oz Sazerac Straight Rye 100 Proof
• ¼ oz simple syrup
• 3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
• Absinthe rinse (for the rinse)
  Stir rye, syrup and bitters with ice, strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass, garnish with lemon twist. A perfect homage to the original Sazerac cocktail.
