Product Description:

Tequila Cascahuín Añejo “Cerro de Luz”

From the highlands of Jalisco comes a bottle that moves at its own pace.  Cascahuin Añejo Cerro de Luz is not chasing trends. It is chasing patience.

Made from fully mature Blue Weber agave and aged deliberately in oak barrels, this añejo leans into restraint and clarity. Nothing rushed. Nothing masked. Just time, agave, and wood learning how to speak the same language.

What’s in the glass

  • Aroma: Roasted agave first, followed by warm vanilla, toasted oak, cacao nibs, and a soft echo of baking spice
  • Palate: Silky and composed. Caramelized agave, gentle oak sweetness, dried fruit, and a hint of cinnamon
  • Finish: Long, dry, and elegant, with lingering agave and refined barrel spice

How to enjoy it

This is an añejo built for quiet moments.

  • Best: Neat in a copita or Glencairn, slow sips only
  • Also shines: One large cube, letting the oak and agave stretch their legs

A refined cocktail (only if you must)

Añejo Old Fashioned

  • 2 oz Cascahuín Añejo Cerro de Luz
  • 1 barspoon agave nectar
  • 2 dashes chocolate bitters
  • Orange peel expressed, not dropped

Spirit-forward, respectful, and unapologetically smooth.

Food pairing

  • Grilled ribeye or lamb chops
  • Mole negro or rich Oaxacan dishes
  • Dark chocolate with sea salt

Why it matters

Cerro de Luz translates to “Hill of Light,” and that name fits. This is añejo tequila illuminated, not over-oaked, not heavy-handed. A bottle for people who value balance over bravado and craftsmanship over noise.

If you like your tequila with depth, discipline, and a long memory, this one belongs on your shelf. 🥃
