Finish - Cinnamon, Lingering buttery caramel not offensive at all. Oak is there but very slightly. The nose was absolutely beautiful, it smelled like Christmas morning. Tons of baking spice, and a really lovely chocolate milk powder that was so soft and lovely. It really is a bourbon you pour on the cold winter nights. The front palate will steal you away. It has the highest viscosity i've ever had so far in a bourbon. It's absolutely creamy and delicious and the proof is there, you know it's there but it's not offensive, it enhances the experience. It's as if as the alcohol evaporates, it lets off bursts of flavor in your palate. Absolutely sensational. It's warm, chewy viscosity, full of complex flavors that just keep developing leading into a soft finish. If you see it, buy it. Thank me later

18yr Light Whiskey from MGP. Quite an interesting pour here. Very corn forward with some sweet apple notes and nice cinnamon kick.

This 18 year expression comes in at 142.7, but it drinks at a much lower proof. This sweet and savory pinnacle of proof isn't as aggressively eye watering as you might expect. There's a consistent butterscotch, note throughout the sip, vanilla, cream, (cream soda), and sightly toasted cinnamon buttercream round out this pour. The neck pour will light you up, so give it some time after a couple of glasses, to rest and settle down. After all it's been cooped up for 18 years.
